Why Clean Air Is Important To Your Health
When we think about clean air, we usually think about mountains, and generally areas that are relatively untouched by most forms of pollution. Hopefully everyone reading this article has experienced the joy of standing somewhere, inhaling a large breath of really clean air, and then smiling with the satisfaction of it all.
If we live out in the country then we are also equally blessed and the air there will usually be much cleaner and healthier, that if we live in a city or large town. Aside from the usual pollution from vehicles, these higher populated areas can just build up any number of pollutants.
At the end of the day, and although we can all do our bit, there is very little difference that any one person can make to the overall low quality of air where they live.
Air Inside the Home
One thing we can influence though is the quality of air we have inside our home. There are just a whole ton of benefits to using some type of air cleaner. Nowadays air cleaners like the best selling Germ Guardian are quite affordable and every home should have one particularly if you live in large cities where the pollution levels are quite bad.
Now we know that people don’t really give this a lot of thought, but what a difference it could make to the air that you breathe every single day. This is especially true if you or any of your family members are suffering from allergies.
Where that is the case we believe that an air cleaner is a necessity in your home. The reason being is that an air cleaner can help to remove allergens in the air by filtering and recycling the air thereby reducing the possibility of allergy attacks.
As you may know fans are great for quickly circulating are around the home and dropping the temperature. They do nothing to clean or help purify the air. Leaving a window open also allows air in and helps, but only if that air is actually clean and fresh. If you live on a busy street or in the middle of a city, the air outside is probably worse than the air inside.
Clean Air for Asthma Sufferers
If you or anyone in your family suffers from either asthma or sinus problems, an air cleaner will really help you. An air cleaner will massively reduce the amount of dust and particles of debris in the air. Other particles that irritate the lung are also removed thereby reducing the rate of asthma attacks.
If you read any medical articles all of the doctors recommend these to help asthmatic patients reduce the chance of asthma attacks. I know all too well that many of us work and run our homes with a tight budget. We need to spend wisely and there are many competing things that we can get for our money.
Few stop to think about the true importance of their health until it is too late. A good quality air cleaner costs around $100, and I would ask is that a price worth paying to be able to breathe clean and purified air. For me anyway it is a worthwhile investment.

Some people just don’t have the money though so below a Doctor shows you how to make one for around $25.
So as you can see, it is better to try and do something as do nothing at all. Air cleaners reduce the number of air-borne germs. Anyone with a weak immune system who are prone to illness and other diseases, along with babies and young toddlers, can all benefit from these systems.
Just by using a box fan and a furnace filter, the difference is truly remarkable. Getting rid of 90% of the air particles is a lot better than allowing them to stay there.
Ionic Air Cleaners
The newer models of air cleaners use what’s known as an ionic system. An ionic system does not need to replace the air filter but instead by regularly washing the air filter similar to your air-conditioner. This type may be more expensive such as the HEPA Dreval pictured on the left.
In my opinion, an ionic air cleaner is a better choice since you can save a bit of money in buying replacement air filters. This for me is better value in the long term. Ideally these should be placed around the home. That said, if you only want to try one, then put it into your bedroom and check out the difference.
These air cleaners are well worth your investment if you consider your health or your family health is more important than anything else. I figure that most people do but just don’t really give it a lot of thought.
An air cleaner can cut down the chances of an allergy attack or an asthma attack. If you are living in a city or larger town, the chances are the air is a lot more polluted than you think. I think you will be truly shocked when you see how dirty the air filter will get over a short period of time.
