How To Install a Whole House Water Filtration System
Below you can watch a video that gives you some great tips for installing a whole house water filtration system.
Main Review of the DuPont WFPF13003B Filtration System
We have included above what we believe to be the really important information. That should save you some time trying to make your way through all of the reviews. Below though we have gone into the review for those who like a lot more detail. Hopefully you will find this useful.
The purpose of this system is simply to help clean, and as a result, improve the taste of the water coming into your home. That is more important for any homes which happen to be in a "hard water" area. The hard water usually refers to having a lot of iron in the water, which can give it a pretty distinct taste.
In some cases this may also be too much calcium in the water. And the other problem with some water is of course, too much chlorine in the water.
Some buyers did say that in areas of particularly hard water, they installed two of these.
These are pretty easy to fit. When fitting this unit around the valve, by using some Teflon tape, that can really tighten up the joints. Also be careful to not over tighten the housing. It just needs to be a little more than hand tightened.
Some people got around the potential problem of leaking by swapping out the plastic threads for brass fittings. Anyone who did this seemed to prefer that method of installing the system and it was certainly leak free when finished.
Our Summary of the DuPont Filtration System
With 86% higher than 4 star ratings, it is fair to say, that the majority of buyers, are very satisfied with their purchase. At around $25 the value for money is also good. Personally I would use the brass fittings just to make sure I have a leak free filtration system.
It does seem to do a very good job of filtering the water and making it taste better. That after all is the whole point of installing one of these.
